12 Nov |
Let me start by saying today just isn’t my day. I woke up late for work; couldn’t find any clean clothes; and then I got in a fender bender on the way to work. This huge truck decided he didn’t feel like stopping at a red light, and he rear-ended me.
He had a very nice truck full of truck tool boxes, fender flares, and mud flaps. Instead of asking me if I was alright, he instantly ran around examining his precious truck to make sure it was in perfect condition. Of course, he didn’t seem to notice that the back of my tiny car was crushed.
Thankfully, the police arrived shortly after the accident, and the guy in the truck was held responsible for the wreck. We exchanged all of our insurance information, and I was told everything should be handled quickly. Now, I just have to wait a few weeks for my car to get repaired, and then everything should be back to normal.
In the meantime, I have to go find a rental car to drive around until mine is fixed. Knowing my luck, I’ll get stuck in a mini-van or something like that. I need to relax. Today was just too crazy!

read comments (0)| Why Fit Should Be Important when Buying New Covers and Mats |
16 Oct |
You probably know that you have to be careful to get a diesel exhaust that fits your truck and is made for the make and model of your truck. However, a huge mistake that is often made in truck customization is choosing the wrong size or type of tonneau covers and bed mats.
When you get a tonneau cover or bed mat that does not fit your truck you are opening up a world of trouble. An improper fit will defeat the whole point of having the cover or mat. You want a cover or a mat to protect your truck bed. When the fit is wrong that protection is diminished. Over time it will be like you do not even have a cover or mat on your truck.
There is no sense to wasting money on a cover or mat that does not fit. You would be better off just forgetting the purchase. If you do not want to pay the price for the proper fit then try shopping around or saving up the money to get the right cover or mat.
In the end you will be happy that you did to go with something that does not fit. You will benefit from the projection of proper fit in many ways.

| Underage Car Rental Orlando |
23 Sep |
Orlando is a wonderful spot to visit. The sun, the entertainment, the shopping! There are so many exciting things to see, you may never run out of place to go! That’s why car rental in this area is so important. However, if you are under a certain age, car rental Orlando agencies have general guidelines you must follow.
1. Most corporate-owned car rental companies have set an age limit for their customers. Most agencies require clients to be 25 years and older to rent any kind of vehicle.
2. If an Orlando airport car rental company allows underage renters, be prepared to pay an underage fee. This fee is usually around $25 per day.
3. Bring your credit card. Most companies require customers to show a valid credit/debit card under your name. Acceptable cards include Visa, MasterCard, American Express, etc.
4. If you have a corporate account, use it. Many businesses hold corporate accounts with different rental car agencies that lower the minimum age requirement or wave the underage fee.
5. Are you in the military or work for the Federal Government? If so, relate this information to the customer service representative. Many car rental agencies lower the age limit for government employees.
Orlando rental cars are waiting for your business. Call ahead with any concerns.

If you buy a brand new Harley Davidson motorcycle, what is the first thing you do? Obviously it is going to have something to do with accessories! And we’re not talking about leather jackets or helmets either. It almost seems mandatory that you have to get things like chrome levers and foot pegs. Or how about buying a custom seat for those longer rides? It’s always a good idea to get engine guards just in case the bike does tip over, plus the more chrome the better! If you really want to make a statement, go for the big rear tire kit.
If your thinking of buying new cars or even a new pickup truck (even if it is just “new to you”), shouldn’t you look at things the same way? After all, there are tons of chrome truck accessories and other neat after market items that can easily change the look of your truck. Things like truck bed covers can really improve the look of a truck. Driving lights can also be a wonderful addition, and they make the vehicle safer. There are many styles of these lighting products available too, many of which are just dripping with chrome. And of course, just like with Harleys, big tires make a heck of a statement too. So, don’t forget the truck accessories!

| They Don’t Make Them Like They Used To |

Remember when cars had personality? You know, like the old Cadillacs with the giant tail fins. Or look at that old corvette with the split rear window. I’m pretty sure they didn’t do that that for any other reason than to look cool. Another personal favorite of mine is the Datsun 240Z with those sugar scoop headlights. Cars had so much personality that people wrote songs about them. Like when “daddy took the t-bird away” or that “little deuce coupe.”
